Forget the hybrid- sold to be "ecological" but they are rolling carbon nightmares- what does it take to manufacture the batteries? what does it take to dispose of the batteries? Who will rebuild these complicated machines when they reach the end of their life cycle? They are just disposacars-
So I should just forget hybrid and look for a petrol engine car?
Yep- don't buy into the common "wisdom"
A Lexus hybrid with low miles would be fine. They are dependable and get great fuel mileage. The are not as eco-friendly as advertised, but it is already built so I'd say go for it.

Hybrids are strictly propaganda... you could say COMPLETE DISASTER! Whereas hybrid battery replacement in your Lexus hybrid can cost upwards of $6,000 (garnering you a guaranteed genuine hybrid battery) Toyota / Lexus
Yes, hybrids mfg costs to ecological is impacted. However, long term for you is very ecenomical
Toyota/Lexus recycles 100% of their batteries, unlike these folks on here stating otherwise. The battery is replaceable and could get better with age.
When I was in stop-and-creep along traffic for over an hour on I-95 last month, I certainly was thankful for the hybrid battery in my 2006 Lexus RX400h. I kept noticing the indicator as the engine switched from using gasoline over to battery power. That hybrid battery is almost 13 years old, and thankfully, I've never had any issues with it.
I have loved my hybrid CT. It is not at 120K and I have just this month had my first service issue and will find out this week how much of an issue it is going to be. Stay tuned!
