Im having the same issue with my 2012 chevrolet
malibu, it stalls out while driving & may not start
back up for minutes or days. Im reading here about
the wires on the fuse box in the trunk my husband
would like to know how he could fix this himself
seeing that we just spent 785$ replacing the fuel
pump. Please help!!! 2 families r now without
transportation bc of this issue.

Check the fuel pump relay. They have a tendency to go intermittent when they fail. https://youtu.be/a_yfXNQx_O8?t=95

We already checked it, its the wire going to the fuel pump relay is burnt on the back of the BCM

Chevy Malibus kind of are famous for the camshaft positioning sensor going bad on them and it'll make you think all kinds of things wrong with your car that you didn't really need to replace take it to somebody who knows what they're doing.
