Rubber burning? Is that what you mean? because if it's just an odor of new rubber, it's probably new weatherstripping and the adhesive

Have you gotten new brakes lately? It could be a sticky caliper.

switch it off....with a cardboard tube and your nose pinpoint the source of the smell...suspect something rubber is scrubbing against a pulley~....don't hyperventilate~

while we are all guessing here, let me reach out telepathically and find your car's aura- Ah, yes- I have it- the dealer used chemicals to clean your engine bay- sprayed some on the manifold- it will go away- if not, get used to the smell of diesel
