Ticking noise

Asked by Jennifer Aug 25, 2019 at 03:53 PM about the 2012 Jeep Wrangler

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have the worst ticking sound when I turn on my
Jeep Wrangler.. it makes the ticking noise the
whole time the Jeep is on (doesn’t stop until I turn
it off obvi) I’ve been told it could be rocket arm,
just needs thicker oil because of previous owner
not giving regular oil changes.. just need to know if
anyone has had this prob and has gotten it fixed

Our Jeep is doing the same thing. it's a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport JK. Its actually at the dealer now and they aren't positive what it is. theyre still working on it, should know a little more tomorrow. Did you figure out what your issue was? It's pretty annoying.. Our warranty just expired.

Any update on the ticking was it the rocker arms or maybe an exhaust manifold leak possibly
