It is ok to use the low grade fuel but would recommend adding some fuel injector cleaner or octane booster every now and then or just occasionally full up with middle or high test gas.

2009 Tahoe ltz I have stabilitrak and check engine light on. Have anyone else had these problems?

Yes, it might not be those items though. If there is something wrong with the engine, those indicators are a warning to get it checked ASAP. For me, they came on when I had a bad spark plug wire.
