2011 Silverado : How do I disconnect CD player only and leave radio working? CD player wont stop spinning and wont play regardless if ignition on or off. It was running down battery from running all night so took out #42 fuse which controls entire radio /CD unit. I don't think its worth fixing.
I realize I'm a bit late to the party, but my '12 Silverado just had this same issue...I pulled the fuse and put it right back in and that fixed the problem
Removing the fuse and putting it back in did the trick. Thanks!!
Pulling the fuse in my 2012 worked for me
2013 Silverado it wouldn’t stop ejecting pulling the fuse worked for me too . Thanks !!!!!!!
I have a 2010 Silverado everytime I turn it on screen turns completely white.use to work perfectly. Any suggestions????
09 Silverado. I have to keep the fuse out of the truck because it seems to be completely random when the CD player will do this. Pulling and replacing the fuse once did not keep it from happening again. Still happens at the same frequency.

09 silverado. I took fuse out and shoved an old cd in it with another cd and put fuse back in and it stopped. sounds like the reader is trying to find a cd but can't. i was having problems with cd player not reading discs before this issue. i will just have to drive around with old disc in it for now. not worth the 200.00 for another radio.

2014 Tahoe. As suggested found fuse #42 in the fuse panel (under the hood drivers side) and pulled it, let is set for a minute, plugged it back in. Seems to have fixed the issue for now, we'll see if it comes back or not. Posted 10-14-24.
