engine light comes on goes off

A few weeks ago, I hit a large bump and the icon for check engine came on.
After I shut the truck off for the night, light went out. Today, light popped back
on, several weeks after the first time. What could this be? So at least I have
some knowledge before I have it checked at repair shop? Truck is running great
.

It is the engine light that comes on and it stays orange. I did buy gas a day before, so I will check the gas cap. Thank you very much, your answer is really helpful!
