2012 Subaru Outback torque converter replacement - how reliable?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm considering buying a 2012 outback that had what sounds like the fairly
common stalling problem.  The *torque converter* was replaced at about 90k
miles.  How likely is it that this actually fixed the problem?  I've been reading the
forum and seeing that others have their CVT and other tran parts replaced
under warranty but 10-12000 miles later have the problem pop up again.

I guess the question is - are there people out there that have had the extended warranty repair and not had issues after? In other words, the repair worked, stalling/shuddering issue went away?
