Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Im looking at a 2012 outback manual  with 187000 miles
on it. He said timing belt was dont and they're fixing a
shutter when turn that im guessing is a cv. But he wants
7000 for it. Is it work getting or should I look into
something with less miles?

The dealer does the repairs? Unless this is a big name dealer with an impeccable reputation I would still stay away. Too many miles. If you go ahead make sure you offer less.

You need to do some math. How many miles a year do you drive? If your loan is 5 years and you drive 20,000 miles a year this car will be worn out long before you pay it off. Then again if you drive 5,000 miles a year it might be OK but it still will have well over 200,000 miles on it before it is paid off.

Im not sure how the warranty works yet I'll be reading through all the paper work tomorrow before deciding. Also I'm going to be taking it to a shop that only works on subarus to get it checked over. I was already thinking about offering less.

You sound dead set on buying this car. Having it checked out is a good idea. Check out the dealer and the warranty Before buying it. Don't take anything they say for granted. Tell them put it in writing! Good luck.
