I found a car, I checked the VIN and loos fine so bought it. The dealer called me two days after i bought the car to tell me that by mistake he gave the wrong VIN. To me this is fishy.

I wouldnt say its fraud. I work for a dealer myself and mistakes also happen. Now let me ask you, when they say they gave you the wrong vin, in what meaning ? like did you put the wrong vin number on the insurance or on the contract ?

Thank you for taking your time to answer. I bought the car i did all the paperwork , the wrong vin number is on the insurance and on the contract. now the called me to tele they gave me the wrong vin number. I am trying to get a free VIN Check report on the number they gave me now, but no luck so fart. Anyways. I am really concern about the fact that they gave me a wrong but clean VIN for a car like the one I bought.

send me the vin number and i will send it to you . If you want you can send me your email address in a message. It can either be a simple mistake, or something fishy. Its even happened to me to be honest but lets take a look. I dont think theyll go through all that to hide something .
