2013 GTI door will not close

My 2013 GTI's driver side door will not close in hot weather!  I have tried using
wd40 but it still will not close.  Any ideas why and what I can do?

had a '73 Gremlin, that did that,....all I can suggest is find a good "body knocker" to bend the apparatus in the right way~

You mean the latch won't engage ? Weird that's usually a cold weather thing

We had a VW that did the same thing on both doors and ED is right, we just opened the windows slightly and the doors closed just fine in the summer heat.
