using normal tires on subaru forester

Question type: General

I want to use normal tires (not  awd tires) in my subaru with the same size.
Namely continental premiumcontact 6 type.But there is another alternative like CrossContact UHP . But I am driving my car on road only.
Some says using normal tires on AWD SUV make tire life shorter.
What is your comment on that?

No problem but you may lose some winter traction. Your tire life could actually be longer depending on your tire choice.
