My guess would be that you are looking at your fuel economy real time gauge. mpg. It will show you your instantaneous fuel consumption rate as you drive so that you can use the feedback to make more economical driving decisions.
on my dash bord a milage shows up. but goes up and down as my seed increases or deceases. after it it shows a mps or to me it looks like mp9
