Had an airbag connector break on ford Fiesta 2014 piece of crap no repair kit available????

It is the plastic end of the wire that broke.the piece that clicks in the airbag and i have a new airbag.

Well, I hate to admit it but I work at a dealership and our parts guys (idiots)Can only find a complete wiring harness which costs an arm and a leg but still new to the trade as an auto body tech but what I really would like to know if its safe and or legal to solder on an airbag wire? Again thanks for your time.
