Airbag light

Hi, something really strange happened on my way
home from work today. I had just left work when I
realised my airbag light came on but also noticed
that both passenger and my window were going
down (electric). I pulled over turned the ignition off
and tried my windows and they worked fine. Started
it up again and the light didn’t come back on at all.
It seems to have resolved itself but just a bit
paranoid now as I’m no car expert! My MOT is due
next month so don’t want this to affect anything.

Check for codes in all modules especially the body control module, don't worry the airbags won't accidentally deploy, do the wipers work ok? I suspect the body controller may be going out, how many miles check for warranty.

Hi mike, thanks for answering! Sorry just realised I said that my windows were going down but they weren’t, it was as if they were stuck shut on both sides. Wipers work fine, as does everything else now. It’s only on 35,000 miles is it common for the BCM to go so soon? Thanks

No not common at all if air bag lite just came on don't worry it more than likely won't happen again

    Airbag light blinking 3-4. Changed clockspring then changed airbag. Checked wires under seat...seems fine. Why won't the light stop blinking after these repairs. Ideas? Need to inspect it.
