06 Jeep Grand Cherokee is having trouble starting

Asked by Heep123456 Oct 25, 2018 at 09:19 AM about the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I try to start my Jeep it is having trouble turning over. It clicks and all the lights in the dash light up and the horn goes off and my high beams turn on. Sometimes it starts right away and sometime I have to try 5-10 times while dealing with the above description until it does start. It always eventually starts, it has never just not started after repeated attempts but the problem seems to be getting worse and worse. Months ago it would do this maybe once every couple months but now it's a daily routine. There was a code that said I had a bad ignition switch so I replaced that and it fixed a separate problem which was when I would be driving with the lights on they would flicker like strobe lights but this problem still occurs. Any ideas?
