Problems with the Jeep Cherokee Latitude V6?

Asked by Working_Mom_626 Mar 20, 2015 at 07:40 PM about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

NOT BUY!!! I bought the 2014 Jeep
Cherokee Latitude V6 in October 2014. Sold
to me as brand new. When I picked up my
car it had over 60 miles on it. The dealer
claims they had to get it from another
dealer for me which was the reason for the
mileage. I later found out it was serviced for
a recall and something with the struts. I
have had the vehicle in for repairs 6 TIMES!!
The problem I had was the same each time.
I would be driving and my display panel
would start flashing saying that every thing
needed to be serviced. The car would then
slowly stop and I could not accelerate even
though the engine was running and was in
drive. It happened to me on Christmas Eve,
right after Christmas, in January, February
and twice in March. Each time some
computer was changed. The last time the
dealer claims it was a loose connector.
Really?

I've been playing phone tag with the
Resolution team at Chrysler and only until I
told them I was filing a claim with the
Attorney General under the Lemon Law did I
finally get a call and the said they would get
me a brand NEW replacement. I just want
my money back because I will not buy
another Jeep!!

you lose so much when you sell it back to them. probably bought it for somewhere around 27k plus tax, now you can't unload it for more than 22k. that's a huge loss. i'm in the same predicament but my issue is with the transmission they say is "performing as designed"

Purchased a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, V6, in May of 2014. I filed the Motor Vehicle Defect Notification Form on 7/15/15 after 21 visits to the dealership(s) for repairs to include 2 new transmissions and 2 new emergency braking systems. An appt. was made by Chrysler for today for the final repair attempt, however, we didn't make it to today. 2 days ago, the Jeep once again died and would not move. (at least it was there on time for the appt.) Chrysler Rep. arrived at the dealership today and do you want to guess his resolution??? Yet another transmission.... I am truly at a loss here. Lucky number 3... The 3rd "newly installed transmission" is the charm, Right? (or should we say 4th; taking into consideration the factory installed transmission)

I got my full purchase price back plus sales tax. Still waiting for my sales tax. You should just tell them your filing a claim with your local Attorney General under the lemon law. I bought a Murano. No more Jeeps for me!!
