there might be some animals livin' in there- or their nest- it happens, especially in the country- BUT- that is a new car with a cabin filter, and animals have a hard time gettin' past those- AND- your car is under warranty, why not take it to the dealer and ask them?

A hair dryer smell, lead,s me to believe, there may be a small heater core leak in it,even thoe it is new, could have not been installed correctly.Have dealer check heater core,as jamnblue said,it should be under warranty.

This problem is apparently rampant among the ford vehicles, it can be activated when raising the temperature in the cabin after running the AC, describing it as an overheated hair drier odor is about the most accurate description I've seen. Ford has to know about this and yet there does not appear to be a recall fix posted anywhere, the question is WHY???

Took my 2015 Explorer into Ford dealership this morning foul smell in cabin. Smell coming from front passengers side. Only 21,000 miles on vehicle. They changed out cabin filter smell still there. Service guy said they have no idea where smell is coming from. Why isn't Ford doing something about this issue. My wife wants to sale or trade in on well not a Ford. To many complaints.

dunno if this is the problem you're having, but it sounds like it /could/ be. there have been recalls on various ford vehicles for CO emissions.
