What year/model Jeep are you talking about? In the header it says a 2001 Cherokee, but in your description you say a 2003-2007. The Cherokee ended in 2001 and was replaced in 2002 by the Liberty (US Market). Are you referring to a non-North American market? Both models had very few transfer case problems that caused no movement in any gear. The 2005 Grand Cherokee had an issue with the coupler between the transmission and transfer case. The splines sheared off causing no movement, and a loud grinding when put into park.
