replace serpentine belt?

Hi Rick. That's fairly involved procedure in that there is an efficient way to go about it and many less-than-efficient ways. You will want to at least consult a Chilton's before you attempt it. You may get away with a copy machine at your local library (most keep quite a few Chilton's on hand)or some light reading at you local big box parts store. The guys in these places are quite often pretty eager to help and they might even consult the Chilton's with you. Failing that if you go to the parts counter at your local Jeep dealer and get the tensioner, you can ask the question and most likely they'll get someone to give you some tips. Good luck! ... Oh and make note of the path of the belt before you try it. You can always refer to the diagram but having some notes of your own will help jog your memory.
there is an auto tensioner pully underneath your alternator it has a 1/2 inch square hole in it. use a half inch ratchet in that slot to loosen the pully it is spring loaded so all you have to do is push it away from you.
