Key fob/alarm issue

My husband accidentally washed his key
fob.  Now the car alarm keeps going off.  
The only way to get it to stay off is to put the
key in the ignition.

Pull the battery from your key fob and see if it continues to go off. It sounds like it's shorting out in the fob. You'll either need a new fob or need to clean the contacts inside the fob. Try using Isopropyl alcohol on a q-tip and wipe down the circuit.

Where are the circuits to wipe down? My son washed my key and my car alarm keeps going off now

My 2015 was gotten into and the alarm DIDN'T go off . I found it open. Any body else have this happen
