I have a 93 jeep grand cherokee but do not have any key fobs.. Do any of you happen to have any extra laying around you may want to get rid of or sell? I called jeep and they wanted 189 something for one!!!!!! i said no. not worth that much to me. If you have one please send me a message.
Thanks all, Mike

each key fob has a unique radio frequency, so it is highly unlikely that you will get one that works. Your going to have to get the dealer to make one. Besides its not worth it, cause the range on that era's grand Cherokee key fob was horrible.
key fobs are programmable. its pretty tricky and each car is unique. but you can buy a remote off of ebay or something and program it yourself for way less than $189.
Yes they are programmable, says how to do it right in the manual if you have ever read it... But in anycase even if its just under 30ft range thats still better than having to stick my key in the door and turn it all the time. Havent throurly searched through ebay yet.. ive put a post on craigslist though.
had similar problem with my wifes 04 cherokee but is was more like the only one we had got ran over i ended up putting a remote starter on it adn the guy who put it on programmed the new remote starter key fobs to do the locks as well
