How many amps does the charger draw on 120 volts? Is there an amp selector? I do not want to blow fuses in my old home.

I would seek professional assistance prior to plugging in the charger, there should be a rating on the charger body, also I would have thought that this electronic automobile, would be suited for your home
The 120 volt chargers draw about 12 amps. maximum. A standard 15 amp circuit should be fine. 20 amp even better. The circuit should be for the charger ONLY as the current draw is pretty near the maximum of a 15 amp circuit.
Thanks for the info , I am having a line run in preparation for when I get my new Prius next month
If you are having them run a line why don't you have one run for the fast charger? The 120V chargers are slow.
Don't know about previous years, but I just got a 2017 and under vehicle settings/ charge settings you can choose 8 amp or max amp charging. I had my circuit breaker trip twice, switched to 8 amps and the problem is fixed.

My 2012 PIP draws 12 amps at maximum charge. This will vary during the charging cycle since the PIP is smart and uses a sensor to know when it's best for the battery to charge at a faster rate. If you are running a line and your home panel has the capacity you may want to consider a 220/240 circuit and install a Level 2 home charging station. I've seen these go on sale many times for <$450.
