Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 Ford Explorer.
Occasionally the “Overdrive Off” will
begin flashing while I’m driving.  What
could be causing this?

The indicator bulb is probably going to burn out..Could try pulling gauge cluster n replaced the bulb n see if it fixes the issue..if your not having any tranny issues just the light acting up the bulbs definitely probably going bad..

Thank you Ed9626 and Boostdy8! I appreciate your feedback VERY Much!! They are VERY helpful! Evidently the Ford Fairy visited during the night because the next day when I went to drive it there wasn't a flashing OD light. I love driving the Explorer. It needs some TLC, I bought it used and it's showing 290+k miles.

LOL oh my! I'm afraid you are correct. So I'm talking nicely to her and telling her what a champion she is......then I hold my breath, say a prayer and start her up!
