I own a 2015 Subaru Forester. Clutch problems

Asked by TATUMGUY Mar 10, 2021 at 07:29 PM about the 2015 Subaru Forester

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the clutch once.  Then 13,000 miles later had to replace it again.
Mechanic said the car was running very hot.  I am a very good driver and know
how to drive a manual vehicle.  I don't ride the clutch and only use it to switch
gears.  Has anyone else had a similar problem or have a solution.  I don't want
this to happen again!

My 15 Forester clutch went about 95k and we only replaced it because of the throw out bearing.

I just had to replace my clutch at under 95k due to it melting!

I replaced a clutch on 2013 Forester @80k miles, which I thought was too soon, but which Subaru guy said was “about right.” Bought 2018 Forester, and had to replace clutch last year at 60k miles. Just had to replace clutch again due to bearing problem. I’m thinking there is an issue with the Forester clutch.
