OK, but the key needs to be reprogrammed to where it will remote start, the fob key unlocks and locks the car and opens the trunk, but it's not starting it when I push the button on the key when I'm not in the vehicle

your key fob may not be broken. Use your "broken" key fob and hit the lock icon until your horn honks. Then hold down the half circle until the vehicle starts. If that doesnt work, your key fob is broken. but, since everything else works. my guess is it's just user error

Yes, I work for Chevrolet, and almost everyone who has this problem aren’t using the function correctly. Hit the lock icon on your fob until the horn honks, then press and hold the half circle until your vehicle starts. This function should work within 50 feet of your car. If that doesn’t work, somethis is wrong with the remote start feature on your car

That's how the car is started by locking it and push the remote start, but what happened was the battery drained over night my stepdaughter left the light on in the car so I put it on the battery charger I have and after that it started but only by using the key in the ignition not by remote start, so the dealership said I had to go get it reprogrammed but 140 is a lil steep!!
