2005 Kia Sorento Issues Accelerating

Asked by Jayleen Sep 24, 2010 at 07:00 PM about the 2005 Kia Sorento

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Kia Sorento that has some problems accelerating. If i accelerate too
hard there is a clunking sound in the front passenger side of the car. We have had
the cars wheel bearings fixed not to long ago but i dont know if they were all fixed.
apparently it has done this for a little over 2 years. Anyone know what this could
be??

Check this out! http://www.auto123.com/en/used-cars/recalls/kia/sedona?make=Kia&model=Sedona Also see post on unexpected accelerations. See if it was on recall.

I am not sure how different the 2005 Sedona is from Sorento, but worth checking out. It almost killed my Mom this week.

a vaccum is sometimes prevalent within the fuel tank which i beleive can hinder the flow of fuel to the engine. remove ffiller cap and see if vaccum is present upon removal and if engine will restart
