Jeep turns off while driving

My jeep compass 2015 turns off while i am
driving. It happened once in the highway and
we freaked out because we could’ve
crashed. It all of a sudden, stops driving and
sort of shuts down without turning off battery.
What could it be?

Mine too. I have a 2015 Compass and it cuts off while driving and at stops. I am going to take it in on Friday. Have you learned anything new ?
