6 symbol on speedometer. Ford edge losing power at same time

Asked by medlin100 Jun 22, 2017 at 06:43 PM about the 2015 Ford Edge

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driving on the freeway, car nearly stalled as it started to lose power as I was driving 70 miles an hour. I saw a 6 flashing on the speedometer briefly but then car regained speed. A few minutes later the 6 light came on again Not sure if this is related to the throttle body issues I just read about. I did not see a wrench symbol though

Not sure what the number means but it might be a transmission gear indicator. The flashing is warning of a problem so take it to your Ford dealer for warranty diagnosis and repair.
