is it your policy that listings can go up in price the same day you are dealing with a car dealer

Asked by GuruC6SWB Mar 06, 2019 at 10:50 PM about the 2015 Lincoln MKX

Question type: General

Was dealing with a dealer today, telling them I would call them back tomorrow morning. The listing price today was $16,966, when I just checked to show my wife the price was $19,050 changing $2,084 in less than 6 hours. This is reminiscent of the old used car lot days of yesterday. The dealer is in Austin TX, Leif Johnson Ford North. I am hesitant about dealing with them now and also hesitant in going through Car Gurus if this is a typical experience. I communicated via email with Jim Joiner at 10:34am regarding this and he responded detailing a conversation he had with the technician who inspected it regarding the condition. and warranty. If I call him tomorrow morning do you want an update as to whether they honor the price given today.

Dealers play their games but when they do I walk away.
