2004 Kia Spectra Windshield wiper Motor & fluid not working also?

Asked by shells_k Jan 21, 2008 at 10:35 AM about the 2004 Kia Spectra

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So last week my wiper fluid stopped working (yes I checked, I DO have fluid LOL-and also I cant hear the motor anymore when I try to use it either), and now my wiper blade are only working at one very slow setting no matter which setting I try.

Help!! I dont want to bring it in to the dealer and pay twice as much and am pretty sure my husband can replace it if we find out where it is/etc.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

The washer fluid pump motor is in the washer fluid tank (bottom) but check your fuses/relay's first. As for the wipers themself, sounds to me like either a bad wiper motor or it is not getting the full signal. For that I would take it to a mech (it doesn't need to be the dealer) to get it looked at. Without a proper dignanoise, (pardon the spelling)all you wil be doing is wasting money. Hope this helps, best of luck.
