Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Alternator test failed, and the power steering is going bad. Trying to fix the
small stuff first though. I've replaced the front left turn signal twice now, and
it still blinks fast, the back left turn signal and brake light, and there seems
to be a short or something because it still blinks fast, dim in front and ok in
back, and when you push the back light in, it works for the brake, when
you're not holding it, it shorts. Replaced right back brake light and no
issues. Signals and brake lights work fine. Has anyone else had these
issues? Please help!

If bulb is dim there is a bad ground going to socket. First remove bulb and look inside of socket and make sure there is no corrosion inside of socket if ok reinstall bulb and wiggle the wires going into socket if bulb shines normal replace socket or fix bad wire if possible. Explain more about the power steering and alternator problem.

If the signal is blinking fast, check the signal on the other side to see if it’s working.
