First Oil Change

Asked by rwishart Apr 06, 2016 at 09:48 AM about the 2015 Ford Focus

Question type: General

I bought a new 2015 Ford Focus about three months ago and now have less
than 2000 miles on it.  Since it is last year's model should I get an oil change
now?

I have a 2015 ford focus ST, was told by dealership to change oil every 5000 miles. If you haven't reached the 5000 miles I would check the oil to make sure it's clean and not thick like molasses, which it probably is clean.

Go ahead and change the oil. It will make you feel better and won't cost much money. In the future I would follow the recommended oil change intervals listed in the owner's manual.
