How often do I change my oil on my crv

Do not go by the maintenance minder. I did for six years. It would only say I needed an oil change every 10,000 miles. I just had to have the timing chain repaired due to not keeping up with oil changes! From what I've read, this is normally a part that should last the lifetime of the car. It is also losing oil (not leaking) so its important to check it often. (Now I know!) I have 153,000 miles on my 2012 and hoping to get a few more years out of it.
