what is the ford warranty on energi battery

Buyer beware. I have a 2015 Fusion Energi and the battery has degraded to the point where I'm getting half the range I used to. I reported this to Ford when the car was 2.5 years old, when a full charge that used to me 22 miles went down to 17. At that time they said there weren't any "codes" and chalked it up to normal degradation. Today the car is four years old and the range is down to 11 miles. Whenever I complain to Ford they point to the section of the battery warranty that states that "battery degradation is considered normal wear and tear". No matter how much I appeal, it falls of deaf years. Like I said, buyer beware.

All of you that have the hybrid battery/engine fords need to do some homework. Our C-max is in the Ford shop at this moment for the "required testing" ($150.00 !!) to determine the status of the battery. These batteries have a 100,000 mile "special" warranty. The typical answer from Ford is 8,800 mile warranty and $13,000. please . . . . . The battery in our C-max will only charge to 6 or 7 miles. Mileage is 99,860. Once they read the fine print they'll see (hopefully) that it's 100k miles. If you are not aware of this, contact Ford directly. Still waiting for the final Ford decision and cost, if any . . . .
