Wow, that's tough. Those two are the best, and choosing between them is hard. The Rav4 is a littler heavier @3585lbs and the Honda 3094lbs. same wheelbase, same room inside. The Rav4 is a bit more expensive@ about $27k and the Honda $24k. Personally I would get the Rav4, but I am biased. A Toyota guy. But both are reliable, dependable, hold re-sale. Both AWD optional

Depends on what you want to spend....Do you want to spend $35,000 for new out the door? If yes then go buy your Rav 4 Limited.....Or do you want to spend "only $27,500 out the door for an HR-V EX? If yes then go buy this one. I suggest waiting to buy an HR-V until next year. They are brand new and overly popular and dealerships can't keep them in stock...which means HIGH PREMIUMS paid, no deals and full MSRP for this smaller than a CRV (sister to the little Honda Fit) little car that costs way too damn much...
