Turn the engine on and pull the SD card. Let it run for 5 minutes and put the card back in. Let the system reset. Then turn the engine off and then wait a minute. Turn it back on and your correct date and time would be restored.

Take out 15amp fuse for display, third row across and fifth down , from fuse housing, lower right of steering wheel, wait 10min then replace, on restart you need to switch off GPS time setting, it'll now work.

reset the system by holding down the reset button for 10-20 seconds with a pen. the reset button is in the upper right above the row of buttons. I had the engine running when I did this. this worked on 2017 kia sorento

My 2016 Sorento had that issue. I did what Chuck did and it worked! Turn the engine on and pull the SD card. Let it run for 5 minutes and put the card back in. Let the system reset. Then turn the engine off and then wait a minute. Turn it back on and your correct date and time would be restored.

I called Kia, and they told me the same thing as Chuck advised, but to also push the reset button while the the car is running, after you have re inserted you SD card. My reset button on Sorento is above my MAP option, but was also could be aroundvthe on/off switch. It's tiny and could be overlooked. I used the end of a pen to press it.

Our 2018 Kia Sedona showed dashes for the time. Clock setup functions were grayed out. In 2018, the owners manual says not to remove the SD card when the engine/systems are running. Troubleshooting said to push the reset button. That restored our clock function but did not erase our radio channel presets or Bluetooth connected devices. I recommend trying RESET first. Follow the warnings in your owners manual to avoid corrupting the SD card.

Took my 2017 Kia Sorento KX4 into Kia dealer and they’d had a notification about this problem. They had the car in as they had to do a ‘deep reboot’ on the system! This required the battery to be disconnected for an hour and a new sd card inserted. They also set up the radio to receive programme/playlist details which had never been showing at all on the radio/home screen. Oh, and had Satnav maps updated as well... All done under warranty.

The reset button on my 2017 Sorento didn't work initially. I pushed and released, I pushed and held 10-seconds, I pushed twice quickly, all with engine running, no go. Then, I pushed and held with engine running, still holding I turned the engine off and restarted, still holding. After 5-seconds after start I released. System booted and clock was back.

I have a 2016 Sorento. Thanks for all of the advice/info here! I called the dealer this morning ( third time ) and they said I could bring it in to reset by pulling the card, but he said sometimes it works, sometimes, it doesn't. What's the bottom line here? They said it was a software issue nationwide. I'm a bit frustrated..

Brought my 2016 Sedona SXL into dealer today after trying EVERYTHING posted here to resolve this missing clock issue. Dealer tried all steps in its Kia issued procedures bulletin, but it didn't restore the clock. I was told that Kia is aware of many Kias not responding to any of the clock fix procedures & that I would get a call back from the dealer when they hear from Kia tech line. I'm not holding my breath.

This happened to my 2018 Sorento SXL a week ago. I just went out to try the fix but the issue seems to have fixed itself already? Maybe Kia pushed something out.

I Had the same issue. The clock on my 2016 Sorento disappeared a week ago. I followed Chucks instructions and it fixed the problem

I finally got the problem fixed on my 2018 Kia Sedona SXL by pulling the SD card, pressing the RESET button, pulling the battery connection, and lastly when all that failed, by pressing the RADIO button until it entered into SAT mode.

Pressed and held radio button until log dump started then pressed reset with ballpoint pen while still holding radio button. After system rebooted clock was working with correct date. 2017 Kia Sorento

We did the the instructions recommended by Kia. We pulled the SD card and did reset button. When we restarted the car again the date and time were not on display but we went to clock in the menu and then the date and time showed up.

I had to take mine to the dealership to get reset. Took less than 10 minutes. Apparently there was a satellite issue that affected the cars that also have navigation. Do as Chuck says. Reason it did not work for me is because I tried it at night & the satellite couldn't read system reset. Clear sunny skies are a must. May have to try more than once but reset & remove SD works.

Followed Chuck's suggestion and clock/date is now back!

Held down the reset button above the map button while the engine was running. Entertainment system rebooted and the date and time were restored.

I’ve tried all of the above suggestions and still have no clock. The KIA dealer has no idea either. Very frustrating!

Same problem. Car is conveniently 109 miles out of warranty for the radio. Kia offered yo pay half of replacement cost. I would be out 500 dollars to fix. I’ve had so many problems with this car and this is the cherry on top. None of the self-fixes worked. I seriously regret this purchase.

my clock runs down my battery in my 2007 kia sedona how do i just diconnect my clock only
