Locate the drain plug at the bottom of the transmission. Place a suitable catch pan under the transmission. With the gear selector in PARK, and the engine running, use a 3/16' hex key to remove the fluid level indicator plug (in the center of the drain plug) Hold the drain plug with another wrench - you want the drain plug to stay tight. Transmission oil should dribble or drip out of the hole where the level indicator plug was. This means the transmission is filled to the correct level. if oil pours out, it is over-filled, and if nothing comes out, it *might* be low. Just add the proper fluid until it starts to dribble out. P.S. the temperature of the fluid should be between 81 and 122 deg. F. when checking the fluid level.
