I have the same problem going on i filed the transmission after completly drained it an i still get the problem it smees fine when it s cold but comes up when it gets hot ive been driving it in d4 when not on the high way an its been doin ok but it comes w back if i get lil mean with it . i don't think the transmission has a oil cooler an its cooked 3rd an 5th gear in the process of orderin another transmission an installin after market oil cooler to fix the problem.being that the 03s to 06s come with one but not seeing the earlier ones with them so im guessing ford seen it was a problem an thus is the fix
