Click in the gear shift when pump brakes on park

When my car start I hear a sound like things are kicking on
is that normal and when I am in park and push on my
break while it running the lock on my gear shifter clicks is
that normal

Yes, that's normal. What you're hearing is the solenoid locking and unlocking the shifter as you press and release the brake pedal. Hope that helps! Jim
