it just died and now nothing works.

was going down the road and the gauges went nuts for a second and the motor shut
off,now the power windows/locks/seats and basically everything electrical won't work at
all.it cranks over fine but won't even try to start, and there is a buzzer that goes off and
only stops if the car is in gear or if the battery is disconnected.found a blown fuse but
nothing else so far.(the air ride was removed about 2/3 months ago and it ran great till
this happened)

Check the small ground wire at the battery for corrosion or broken. This is the PCM/computer ground.

With key on is security/PATS light flashing? If it is -In the 1998 thru 2002 Town Car models a PATS failure to recognize the ign key will cause the PCM to disable the engine and prevent the engine from starting. The common culprit is the transceiver which is located around the ign key lock switch. Usually the wiring is stretched by the steering wheel column tilt adjustment and the stretched wires cause intermittent failure and then the wire breaks and there is complete failure. To fix this problem the transceiver must be replaced with its wiring harness.
