Hi there I have a 1997 Lincoln continental and I am trying to find the right repair manual. I have bought a Haynes one but it says it is only good from 1970-1987 is it compatible? say onliine it is

Haynes online edition of their manuals are 16.95. compare that to whatever price the store was charging. Online edition contains way more pics too. I did the 1-yr subscription to Chiltons (chiltondiy.com) and it was much more detailed and better illustrated than any print edition I've ever used. You can also find a lot of common make/model car manuals at local libraries too. (I've gotten Crown Vic Haynes manual from a library so you might find one for your Lincoln there as well)

Haynes manuals are pretty specific and designed for people who work on their cars, is that you??? I'm sure that you could look this up and find the precise manual for this car...

Thank you Yes I am going to be working on my own car I think this may be the right one though cuz when I look on the compatibility table it says they are compatible.. Does anyone know if there was that much of a difference in the 87 continental to 97?I will also look into the 1 yr subscription. Thank your for your help

Missy it is the wrong manual. Your car is front wheel drive dual overhead cam V-8 and the earlier Lincoln covered by the posted manual are rear wheel drive push rod cam in block engines. This is a totally different drivetrain and car. This manual will do you absolutely no good.
