Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 1993 Lincoln Towncar. I also have a 1997 Lincoln
Towncar. If it possible to change the engine from the 1993
to the 1997 car fram? If so will the original transmission
meet up?

It would probably fit, but it will not run. The '93 engine is controlled by an OBD1 computer and the '97 is controlled by an OBDII computer.
The transmission that is in the '97 you would want to leave in, that is also controlled by the OBDII. But like tennisshoes says, it may be possible to change out the intake, and put the original set up back on from the '97 in-order to make it run. I'm a Chevy guy and know there is a problem in doing this between anything '95 and under to '96 and on up on a Chevy intake manifolds.
