I would make a template.
My son does this for a living. Whether you're going to print on a transparency or cut the design out of vinyl, making it to the exact dimensions will cause a problem in application. The glue on the back is strong and once it touches the glass, that is where it is going to stay. He suggests making a template out of printer paper. Now design your artwork and print it out of a sheet(s) of paper. Using the template, adjust the size of the artwork to have about 3/4 inch overlap all around. (for trimming) Place an erasable pen mark in the center of the window on the inside and on the center of the artwork. Remove as little backing paper as possible from the rear of the artwork covering the glue side. Work from the center of your mark outward to the edges, smoothing out and stretching folds, a credit card works well for this. When you reach the weatherstrip all around, trim with a razor blade.
I know how to make and apply them what I need is the exact dimension of the rear passenger window of a 2018 Xlt 4door super crew cab
This is not rocket science. Go measure one! If you get the wrong dimensions from the net you won't be happy.
