Drivers side window won't go up

Here's how it works. There are 2 wires at the motor, put battery positive on 1 wire then ground the other wire the motor runs one way, reverse the wires and the motor runs the other way. You may have a problem with the master switch, door switch or a bad wire or power source like fuse or relay. I hope this helps. Take care.
Mike is on the right track. The motor is a DC motor. When the polarity supplied to the motor is reversed, the motor runs in reverse. The window switch which toggles back and forth actually reverses the polarity. Remove the door panel, and use a multimeter set to read DC and toggle the switch and notice the readings. If the readings are correct at the switch, check at the connection at the motor using the same procedure. The probably is going to be between the switch and and motor.
