why would my 2002 mazda protege turn off randomly some times when im at a stop light?

I think you should post a little more pn the symptoms.. Does it sputter and then turn off? Do you feel a loss of power, or does it run stong then just stop? Does it do this all the time or just sometime? Does it turn off when you start it up first time of the day and just idling or only after it has been running?.....thanks
