2004 Grand Marquis Blen Door Changed But Still Blowing Hot Air

Car was blowing hot air when on cold setting so after
some research everything pointed towards the blend door
actuater. So after some painstaking effort we put in a new
one, but nothing has changed. In the past resetting the
car by removing the battery used to fix the issue, so if the
rest works now then the problem is some place else. Any
thoughts what the issue could be?

the actuator is controlled through the selector switch ,, if the sw were taken apart you would see it's both vacuum and electric ... overy time the o rings sometimes fail to seal the position you want and that prevents the vacuum from moving the actuator

The o'rings mentioned above can be replaced if you can figure out which ones to use.

You need the good O rings with the hole in the center... just joking but depending on where you live the summer heat can be brutal over a period of years to those rings. Most Home Depot have a large selection of rings .. just bring one in to size ... my GP only had one that was different then the others ... keep in mind that you may need a marker to mark the way it is reassembled correctly
