Fix odometer and trip meter

Neither the odometer or trip meter are working on my 1992 Ford Crown Victoria 4-door sedan.   Can I fix this myself easily?

I have the same issue with mine. Being a 1995 CV. I was told it may be the TSS, Transmission Speed Sensor. Where i live its a hundred dollar apart, so I haven't bought it yet. Its located near the end of the trasmisson on the drivers side on mine.

If the speedometer works but the odometer does not, the issue is in the speedo head itself and likely the odometer drive gear is stripped.

2004 crown vic, how to tell if ur Trip meeter is work. I just filled up my tank and have drive approx, 45miles. And my trip say I drove 280, but my odometer, tell me something different an miles change slower or normal compared to my trip miles? Would my trip meet , be reading it in kilometer?
