where is the heater control valve located on 2002 grand marquis

If you are referring to a valve in the heater hose that controls how much flow there is to the heater core to control the air temperature, there isn't one. Air temperature is controlled by a door in the heater plenum that mixes unheated air with air that has been through the heater core.
