Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my 1991 Grand Marquis has problems with temperature control in my
automatic temperature controlled heating a/c system.  Where will I find the
ambient temperature control sensor ...cabin? ...underdash?...near heater/vent
controls?  under hood ( prob not? )...I think a 1990 would be the same.....

Thanks so much,... so this senses the outside temperature... do you know if there is also a sensor...a thermometer inside the cabin?..it would send the temperature to the automatic system , to shut things down when desired level is reached in the cabin.
